Catering by phone tag

Catering inquiries tend to arrive as a vague email or a voicemail during the dinner rush. Then come the questions: what date, how many people, pickup or delivery, any allergies, what budget. By the time you have the answers, the customer may have booked someone else. A good request form asks those questions up front and in the right order, so every inquiry arrives ready to quote.

What the form asks

FieldWhy it matters
Date and timeTells you at a glance whether the kitchen or the truck is free
HeadcountDrives quantities, staffing and whether you can take it at all
Pickup, delivery or on-site serviceChanges the quote, the timing and who needs to be there
AddressLets you check distance and access before you agree
Menu interestTrays, boxed meals, a buffet or a set menu, chosen from your options
Dietary needsAllergies and preferences, noted before you plan

We tailor the questions to how you cater. A bakery needs pickup times and order details for cakes. A truck needs power and parking notes. A restaurant with a private room needs to know whether it's an order or an event on site.

The page around the form

People decide whether to send a request by reading the page above it. We lay out what you cater, sample packages or trays if you offer them, minimum order sizes and notice periods if you have them, and how you'll reply. Clear limits save you from requests you'd have to turn down.

After someone sends it

Requests go to the email address you choose, with every answer laid out the same way each time. The person who sent it sees a confirmation page that says what happens next. If you use a catering or event tool that accepts form submissions, we can look at sending requests there as well.

Questions

Can customers pay a deposit through the form?

We can link to the payment tool you already use for deposits. Taking payments inside the form needs a payment provider account in your name, which we can discuss in the quote.

Can you add catering to our existing site?

Usually, yes. A catering page and form can be added to most sites without a full rebuild.
