Process

How a restaurant website project works

Six stages with an approval at each one, planned around your service hours so the project never pulls you off the line.

1. Brief and quote

You send the menu, how people order today, the site you have and any date that matters, such as an opening or a new location. We reply with questions or a written quote with the page list, what we need from you and a target launch date. Nothing starts until you accept it.

2. Hours map and page plan

We draw your business day as an hours wheel, like the concepts on the samples page, then plan each page and what it leads with. This is the cheapest moment to change your mind.

3. Design

We design the home page and the menu page with your colors, type and photos. You mark up what you'd change and we revise before building the rest.

4. Build and menu entry

We build the site on a private preview address, enter the menu, hours and catering details, and set up the editor for the parts your staff will change.

5. Ordering tests

We tap every order, reserve and map button on a phone and a desktop, send a test catering request, and check page speed on an ordinary mobile connection. You get the preview link to try it from the kitchen.

6. Launch and handover

We connect your domain, add redirects if an older site is being replaced, and hand over logins with a short editing guide. You can run the site yourself from there or ask us to keep handling menu and hours edits.

What sets the pace

Content, nearly every time. The menu needs to be final, photos need choosing, and someone has to confirm hours for every day of the week. If you're short on time, tell us in the brief. We can launch a small first version with the home page, menu, hours and order button, and add catering and the rest afterwards.

Calls and timing

We book calls in the mid-afternoon lull or before opening, whichever suits your kitchen, and keep them short. Most feedback works fine by email with marked-up screenshots.
